Do you know about Thing-a-Day? This project challenges everyone on the internet to create something, ANYthing once a day for one month (specifically February). This thing is totally up to you! It can be 28 knitted scarves, or 28 oil paintings, 28 musical compositions, 28 poems, 28 animations, 28 anythings. The only catch is that you have to make one of these things for each day of the month and then post it to the Thing-a-Day website before midnight! Including pictures is always fun but not required. The organizers suggest spending at least 20 minutes a day on your thing but try to keep it under an hour (more than that and now we are talking about a serious committment!).
Thing-a-Day is inspired by an NYU year long class assignment and is now in its 3rd year. The first year, those who managed to complete 28 daily things had the fruits of their labour exhibited at EyeBeam Art and Technology Atelier in Chelsea, New York. Who knows how this years project will end! Maybe you could be exhibited as well!!
Thinking about participating? Check out the website for more info and look for the sign up form to come online this weekend. Need inspiration? Review last years Flickr pool to see what other people chose to make. If you do decide to participate, please let us know through the comments and please blog about your things!!!
