This week, I asked you all to look for 5 jobs in your intended field using one job search engine and then review that site, its usability and findings on your blogs. Lets talk about what you found here so we can all benefit from your research. This is also helping you get used to promoting your blog and eventually portfolio on other sites.

In the comments section, post a link to your blog post and give a quick one or two sentence summary of your findings. You can respond directly to someone else who has commented before you by first locating their username and then typing "@username" followed by your response.

For example, if you would like to respond to me, the appropriate format would be "@dovely - " as dovely is my username. This way, we can easily follow the conversation and build on what has already been said.

Looking forward to reading what you all have to say!

@Mike Lovett your username is the thing that pops up in your comment that says "So and so said..."

So, I just, replied to your comment. =)

To post your link on this page:
1. Go to your blog
2. Right click on your green header - the title of the blog post you want.
3. Choose "Copy Link Location" if you're using Firefox or "Copy Shortcut" if you're using Internet Explorer (If you're using Safari, I'm sure the option is similar.).
4. Paste that link into the comment box.
5. Voila!

I used monster.com and it was very easy to use. The only problem i had was every time i found a job and pressed the back button it would go to page one.

I checked out a couple of the sites but ended up going with CraigsList. It might be because I've used it before but I felt that it was easier to navigate through then other sites and there wasn't too much distracting text.

I searched on nj.com's job searching site. I think it would be very useful with some user friendly site redesign.
